Musicians, Singers and Groups Encouraged to Apply

 

Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.- The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters have announced the dates for auditions to perform the National Anthem during the 2015 season. Each season, the Rafters bring in local singers, musicians, and musical groups to perform the national anthem prior to each Rafters home game. This year there will be two chances to audition, with the first coming Saturday, May 16th from 10:00-11:30 am. If you are unable to make that time, another audition will be held on Monday, May 18th, from 4:00-6:00 pm.

 

Anyone interested in applying to sing or play the national anthem should send the following to Darren Besch at darren@raftersbaseball.com:

  • Three dates you are available to perform the national anthem at a Rafters home game.
  • Your name, address, phone number, and email address.
  • Indicate whether you are applying as an individual, or part of a musical group. If part of a group, please provide number in the group and their names as well.
  • Indicate which of the two audition dates you will be attending.

The Rafters open their season on Tuesday, May 26th when they take on the Wisconsin Woodchucks at 6:35 pm at Witter Field. Rafters single game tickets are on-sale now and can be purchased by visiting RaftersBaseball.com, calling the Rafters ticket office at 715-424-5400, or stopping by the Rafthouse at Witter Field.
