Northwoods League Announces New Affiliate for Hudson, Wisconsin
St. Croix River Hounds to debut in 2019

Rochester, Minn. – The Northwoods League is excited to announce that Hudson, Wisconsin has been awarded a Northwoods League affiliate to begin play for the 2019 season.

“The ingredients of this newest Northwoods League team – a uniquely experienced group of owner operators fielding a team in a newly constructed facility that is situated in a great community – make this a very exciting addition to our league,” said Northwoods League President Gary Hoover. “We are thrilled to be bringing Northwoods League baseball to the St. Croix River Valley area fans, and look forward to welcoming everyone in the 2019 season.”

The excitement level from everyone that emailed over the last couple months has been amazing as the ownership group read through hundreds of emails and had almost one thousand team name ideas. After going through all the submissions, the ownership group in Hudson is proud to announce the team name will be the St. Croix River Hounds.

“We are excited to be part of the Northwoods League and in bringing a team to the St. Croix Valley area,” said the ownership group of the River Hounds. “We look forward to providing entertainment for families and individuals of all ages that is fun, safe, and ensures lasting memories at an affordable price.”

There will be a meet & greet in November where fans can see the colors and logos of the new team as well as stadium videos & renderings. Information on season tickets will be available as well. The owners are excited to introduce themselves, their families, and meet all the passionate fans exited for St. Croix River Hounds Baseball. The River Hounds will be the St. Croix Valley’s team & the owners can’t wait to hear from everyone very soon.
