Animal from the World-Famous Tag Team Road Warriors set to visit Witter Field

The Rafters have announced professional wrestler Joseph Michael Laurinaitis, better known by his ring name Animal from the world-famous Road Warriors, will be on hand for Wrestling Night on Wednesday, June 27th for the 7:05 game against the Kalamazoo Growlers.

Road Warrior Animal was one half of the Road Warriors. The Road Warriors have been champions across the world while working for multiple wrestling companies including the WCW and WWE. He and his partner Michael “Hawk” Hegstrand won several tag team championships over their two decades long career. They are famous for wearing their trademark spiked shoulder pads to the ring, intimidating face paint, and their finishing move the Doomsday Device. The team was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2011. Fans will have the chance to get autographs and meet Road Warrior Animal prior to the game.

The Rafters are now offering an exclusive package for wrestling fans that includes a reserved bleacher ticket to the game on June 27th, a Rafters baseball hat, and a wrestling themed t-shirt. The shirt will have the Rafters themed championship belt draped across the shoulder. The Rafters are offering this special Wrestling Night ticket package for $27. Single game tickets for the 2018 season go on sale at 9am on Friday, April 20th. The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters will begin their season on the road against the Madison Mallards on Tuesday, May 29th.
