Wisconsin Rapids takes on the Wisconsin Woodchucks in second and final game of home series.

 

Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. – The Rafters bested the Woodchucks in a 1-0 shutout on Sunday afternoon. They advanced to 8-5 on the season.  The win has the Rafters in second place in the South Division standings.

 

The Rafters conclude the home series with the Wisconsin Woodchucks tonight. The Woodchucks posted three hits yesterday, outdone by the Rafters who posted five. The three hits were recorded by Derek Schiwmmer, Resse Alexiades and Isaac Quinones.

 

Brody Wofford was responsible for the sole run in the game. He hit his first home run of the season over the scoreboard in right field. This was the second home run hit at Witter Field by the Rafters and fourth home run over all.

 

Trayson Kubo (Steven F. Austin) will take the mound for the Rafters tonight. He currently has a 2-0 record and a 0.90 ERA. In his last two starts, Kubo has totaled eight strikeouts in 10.0 innings pitched.

 

Alec Abdalah will pitch for the Woodchucks. He sports a 1-1 record and a 2.25 ERA this season. The righty sophomore has seven strikeouts in 12.0 innings pitched.

 

First pitch is slated for 7:05 p.m.
