Wisconsin Rapids made an impact at the showcase event in Madison.

Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. – The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters sent three players to the Major League Dreams Showcase in Madison, WI Tuesday night. Ty Duvall (Vanderbilt), Trayson Kubo (Stephen F. Austin) and Jack-Thomas Wold (UNLV) all contributed to a 4-1 win for the home team in the South Division clash.

 

Trayson Kubo started the South Division matchup at the MLDS pitching the first two frames with a hit, strikeout and walk.  Ty Duvall went 2-for-2 and an RBI with two base hits. Duvall brought in the first run of the game in the second with a base hit to right. Wold was hitless but worked a walk and scored the third run of the game for the home team off a hit from Lakeshore’s Christian Boulware. Kubo was awarded the win for the home team while Madison’s Trace Norkus got the save.

 

The Rafters start the final five games of the season tomorrow. The cranberry and gold host the Battle Creek Bombers in the season series finale between the two clubs. First pitch from Witter Field is 7:05 pm CT.
