Wisconsin Rapids starts their final two home games of the year tonight.

 

Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. – The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters take on the Wisconsin Woodchucks for the last time this season tonight at Witter Field. This matchup is the second to last home game at Witter Field this season. After the Rafters ninth inning comeback last night, the Wisconsin Woodchucks fall to 16-18 in the second half with a 28-41 overall record in this 2018. The Rafters are 16-17 in the second half and 31-37 overall.

 

On the mound tonight for the Rafters is Gareth Stroh of Purdue. The lefty sports a 3-1 record for the Rafters with a 3.58 ERA. In his 42.2 innings pitched, he has recorded 32 strikeouts, 12 walks and 37 hits. This will be Stroh’s ninth start this season.

 

Pitching for the Woodchucks is Alex Stodola of UW-Stevens Point. He sports a 2-4 record for the Woodchucks and a 4.63 ERA. In 33 innings pitched, he has walked 23 batters, allowed 17 hits and has struck out 43. This will be Stodola’s 20th appearance and fourth start.

 

Tomorrow is the last home game for the Rafters in the 2018 season. The cranberry and gold will take on the Green Bay Bullfrogs at 6:05 p.m.
