Wisconsin Rapids, WI – February 5, 2024 – The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters, in partnership with Skyward, are thrilled to announce Jeanine Kleman, an art teacher at Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids, as the recipient of the 2024 Unsung Hero of the Year Award.

 

Ms. Kleman’s dedication and commitment to her students have not gone unnoticed. Nominated by three different students, Ms. Kleman has been recognized for her exceptional care and unwavering support for her students, serving as a vital pillar of strength during their high school journey. With over 20 years of teaching experience in the Wisconsin Rapids school district, Ms. Kleman’s impact resonates deeply within the community. One student’s nomination read “She will always be on my mind and I will never forget the kind of person she is as I aspire to be like her one day.”

In a heartwarming surprise, representatives from the Rafters and Skyward visited Ms. Kleman’s photography class on Monday, February 5th, to announce her well-deserved recognition. As part of her award, Ms. Kleman will receive a customized bobblehead, proudly displayed at Witter Field in the Skyward Wall of Fame alongside other remarkable unsung heroes honored over the years.

 

Furthermore, the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters will host a special Skyward Unsung Hero Night at Witter Field, featuring an exclusive Artist Rosco bobblehead giveaway. Ms. Kleman will be invited to receive on-field recognition during the event. The date for this memorable occasion will be announced in conjunction with the Rafters’ upcoming promotional schedule in the spring.
