St. Cloud, MN – The St. Cloud Rox announced today that they have signed five players out of the outstanding Southeastern Conference (SEC) to the 2014 roster. Players from the SEC that signed with the Rox are pitchers Andy Cox and Trevor Charpie (University of Tennessee), Kade Scivicque (LSU), Tyler Deel (Florida), and Seth Heck (Mississippi State).  Collegiate Baseball has LSU (7-0) as the top rated team in the country, Mississippi State at #18, Florida #21, and Tennessee at #28.
 
Cox, a 6-foot, 170lbs sophomore left-handed pitcher, comes to St. Cloud via the University of Tennessee. During the young 2014 season at Tennessee, Cox has been impressive.  He is second on the team with 11.1 innings pitched and has an outstanding 0.79 ERA in three appearances.  During his freshman season for Tennessee he tied for a team-high 21 appearances, including six starts, going 2-2 with 47.2 innings pitched.  In high school Cox was named to the 2012 Rawlings Southeast Region Team and listed as a Top 1000 recruit and the 16th-best prospect in Tennessee by Perfect Game
 
Charpie, who will join Tennessee teammate Cox this summer for their first season in St. Cloud, is a 6-foot-1 inch, 170 lbs. right-handed pitcher.  During the 2013 season Charpie shared the Tennessee team leading 21 appearances during his freshman season with Cox.  He was 3-4 with two saves in 2013 for the Vols. Charpie graduated from JSerra Catholic High School in California where he was named a 2012 Rawlings California Region Honorable Mention selection and also claimed a spot on the 2012 Under Armour Preseason All-America Team.
 
Scivicque, a 5-foot-11 inch, 220 lbs. junior catcher is off to a hot start with top ranked LSU hitting .353.  Scivicque, a right-handed hitter who can also play first base, has played in six out the seven games for LSU during the 2014 season.  Scivicque who transferred to LSU, was a 1st Team D1 Junior College All-State and Defensive Player of the Year at Southwest Mississippi Community College in Summit, Mississippi where he batted .321 in 2013 with four homers, 12 doubles, 37 RBI and a .991 fielding percentage.  Scivicque played in the Northwoods League for the Battle Creek Bombers last summer hitting .256 with a team leading 14 doubles.
 
Deel, is a 6-foot-5 inch, 190 lbs. freshman left-handed pitcher from the Florida Gators. Deel made his collegiate debut this past weekend against the Miami Hurricanes out of the bullpen pitching a perfect two-thirds of an inning for the Gators. In high school Deel was ranked as the No. 19 left-hander in the state of Florida in the Class of 2013 final rankings from Perfect Game.  He collected all-state recognition in Florida and was named first-team All-First Coast last spring after going 8-0 with a 2.22 earned run average for Fletcher High School.
 
Heck, is a 5-foot-10 inch, 170 junior shortstop from Mississippi State. Heck is a MSU transfer from Tacoma [WA] Junior College where he made less than 15 errors in over 500 chances.  Heck was a 2013 NWAACC West Division All-Star and Gold Glove winner for shortstops with a .960 fielding percentage.  He hit .330 (62-for-188) for Tacoma in 2013 with 32 RBIs in 51 games.
