Rochester 7, Thunder Bay 1
The Rochester Honkers defeated the Thunder Bay River Cats 7-1 recording back-to-back wins to start the second half.  Behind starter Mike Strong (Oklahoma State) the Honkers pitching staff shut down the River Bats surrendering just one run.  Strong pitched 7.0 innings allowing just one run on four hits while collecting six strikeouts.  Danny Pulfer (Oregon) led the Rochester offense finishing the day 3-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored.  Richie Jimenez (UNLV) and Josef Terry (Cerritos College) each finished the day with two hits including a three-run bomb by Jimenez. 

Madison 16, Wisconsin 3
The Mallards bats were hot Saturday night as they pounded out 19 hits and scored 16 runs against the Wisconsin Woodchucks.  The Mallards jumped out to a 7-0 lead and never looked back as they would tack on nine more runs over the next seven innings.  The Mallards had six players with multi-hit games and were led by Kyle Gaedele (Valparaiso) who had four hits and two runs scored.  Mallard Rafael Lopez (Florida State) homered and drove in five while scoring twice.  Dillon Napoleon (  Heartland CC) earned the win throwing 5.0 scoreless innings. 

Wisconsin Rapids 7, Waterloo 4
The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters were losing to the Waterloo Bucks 3-2 after the fourth inning, but put up five runs in the final five frames to take the game 7-4 in front of 2,020 fans.  The Rafters left fielder Michael Smith (North Florida) was 2-for-5 with one run scored, four RBI and a home run.  The Rafters Jesse Arreola (Cal Baptist) threw 3.0 innings of scoreless baseball out of the bullpen to earn the win.  Bucks second baseman Tyler Robbins (Dallas Baptist) was 3-for-4 in the loss. 

Eau Claire 3, Green Bay 2
It took the Eau Claire Express 11innings to beat the Green Bay Bullfrogs, but won the game 3-2 in front of 744 fans.  The Express’ Nate Baumann (Augustana) hit a two-out single in the eleventh and eventually scored on a Bullfrog error.  The Express pitching staff cooled off the Bullfrog bats by only giving up two runs while striking out ten batters.  The Bullfrogs were led by Troy Scott (Washington) who had three hits in the loss. 

Willmar 13, Mankato 4
The Willmar Stingers used a big night from Isaac Ballou (Marshall) to beat the Mankato MoonDogs by a score of 13-4.  Ballou was 2-for-5 with three runs scored, four RBI, a home run, a stolen base and a walk.  The Stingers pitching staff also was impressive in the win.  Roy Metter (Nebraska Kearney) and Michael Jahns (Northwestern) earned the win and save respectively by only giving up three earned runs.  MoonDogs left fielder Danny Miller (Minnesota State Mankato) had three hits in the loss. 

Duluth 7, Alexandria 3
The Huskies pitching staff was impressive as Duluth beat the Alexandria Beetles 7-3 at home on Saturday night.  Christopher Jensen (San Diego) and Anders Engberg (Minnesota Duluth) combined to throw a five hitter with 11 strike outs.  Jensen earned the win which is his first of the season.  Huskies short-stop Barrett Serrato (Purdue) had a great night at the plate going 2-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI.  Beetles third basemen Tim Roberson (Florida Gulf Coast) was 2-for-4 with three RBI in the loss. 

Brainerd 4, St. Cloud 3
The Brainerd Lunkers beat the St. Cloud River Bats on Saturday by a score of 4-3 at Stewart C. Mills Field.  The Brainerd pitching staff only allowed one earned run on the night and struck out seven River Bat hitters.  The Lunkers had three batters that had multi-hit games.  Stephen Wickens (Florida Gulf Coast), Tommy Reyes (Cal Irvine) and Matt Hillsinger (Radford) each had two hits in the game.  The River Bats Andrew Aplin (Arizona State) was 4-for-5 with two RBI in the loss. 

La Crosse 5, Battle Creek 4
The La Crosse Loggers came back in dramatic fashion with a three run ninth inning in Battle Creek on Saturday night.  The Loggers were down 4-2 going into the ninth, but put up three runs.  Tony Mueller (Winona State) walked, stole second and third and eventually scored the game’s winning run off a wild pitch from Bombers losing pitcher Kendall Thamm (Angelina).  The Loggers pitching staff only gave up four hits on the night and Michael Schum (Wright State) earned the win in relief throwing the final 1.2 innings.  The Bombers Joe Battestelli (Eastern Michigan) had a nice start throwing 7.1 innings of two run baseball, but took a no-decision.
