The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters and WFHR (1320 AM) announced today that they will again partner together for the 2011 season. WFHR will provide live broadcasts of all 70 Rafters games at home and on the road this season, as well as the Marshfield Clinic Northwoods League All-Star Game to be held in Wisconsin Rapids on July 18, 2011.

“The Rafters are excited to partner with WFHR for a second season and look forward to continuing the relationship into the future,” said Rafters General Manager, Liz Kern.

Last season, thanks to WFHR, Rafters fans were able to keep up with the team while they were on the road and even get to know the players during the segment “Meet the Rafters” with Carl Hilke.

Along with the continued relationship with WFHR, the Rafters are pleased to announce that broadcaster, JW Cox, will return as the official Voice of the Rafters. Cox spent the offseason in his home state of California, calling games for the California Winter League in Palm Springs.

“JW did an excellent job as our play-by-play announcer and we are excited to have him back in 2011. Make sure to stay tuned to WFHR to catch all of the Rafters home and away games this summer,” Kern commented.

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters also announced today that single game tickets for the upcoming season at Witter Field will be available Saturday, April 30, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
