ROCHESTER, Minn. (July 11, 2012) – There was plenty of power around the league on Wednesday as fans saw 19 home runs. Four players had two home runs and three players hit a grand slam. 

The 38 runs scored in Alexandria was also the highest scoring game in Northwoods League history. 

Duluth 20, Alexandria 18

The Huskies put up 11 runs in the top of the fifth on the back of Connor Joe (San Diego) who hit a solo home run and a grand slam in the inning. This game was the highest combined score in Northwoods League history. This series will continue in Alexandria on Thursday at 7:05 p.m.

Mankato 5, Rochester 14

Jared Allen (Tennessee) hit his third and fourth home runs of the season as he went 2-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored. This series will finish up in Mankato on Thursday at 7:05 p.m.

Thunder Bay 7, Waterloo 3

Scott Donley (Indiana) picked up his fifth home run of the season as he went 2-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored. The Bucks will host Thunder Bay again on Thursday at 6:35 p.m.

St. Cloud 3, Willmar 4

Kenny Roberts (Alabama) stayed hot at the dish for the Stingers as he was 3-for-3 with two RBI. The Stingers will host the Rox on Thursday with the start scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

La Crosse 10, Wisconsin Rapids 8

Bobby Juan (Minnesota) hit is fourth home run of the season when he powered a grand slam in the top of the fourth to give the Loggers the 7-3 lead. The Rafters will host the Loggers at 7:05 p.m. on Thursday. 

Wisconsin 3, Eau Claire 8

Nick Addison (UIC) picked up his sixth and seventh home runs of the year as he was 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored for the Express. The Express will travel to face the Wisconsin Woodchucks at 6:35 p.m. on Thursday

Green Bay 4, Lakeshore 9

Eric Aguilera (Illinois State) was 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored for the Chinooks. The Chinooks will travel to Green Bay for a 7:05 p.m. start on Thursday.

Madison 3, Battle Creek 2

Bobby Poyner (Florida) threw six innings and had no earned runs for the Mallards. He also struck out nine batters. The Mallards and Bombers will play on Thursday at 7:05 p.m. ET.
