Rochester, Minn (June 18th, 2013)–Road teams had themselves a night on Tuesday as they were able to sweep the games on the schedule. Road teams had a run differential of +40 on the night, so the wins came in rather convincing fashion.

One of those road teams was the Lakeshore Chinooks, who are storming through the first half of their schedule. Luke Lowery (Southern Miss) pitched six scoreless innings in relief as a part of the effort.

The Waterloo Bucks were also among the road victors on Tuesday. They were able to shut out the Duluth Huskies and grab their 14th victory on the season.

Willmar 13, Alexandria 6 (F/7, Game 1)

The Stingers used a late surge to grab a convincing win in game one of their double-header on Tuesday. Max Kuhn (Kentucky) was part of a solid effort from the middle of the Stinger order as he went 3/5 with two RBI and two runs scored.

Willmar 5, Alexandria 4(F/8, Game 2)

The Stingers captured the second game of Tuesday’s double-header in extra innings. Marc Flores (Hawaii) collected two hits, two RBI, and a run scored out of the three hole to lead the Stinger offense.

With a tie game going into the 8th, the Express took a two-run lead. Then, the Woodchucks responded with a run in the 8th and a run in the 9th. After blowing the lead, the Express recovered in the tenth and scored a pair of runs thanks to a single and a walk with the bases loaded.

Lakeshore 11, Green Bay 3

The Chinooks got down 3-1 after three innings, but the Chinooks cruised the rest of the way. Their offense was paced by Chris Manning (Valporaiso) who went 4/5 with three RBI and three runs scored out of the lead off spot. The Chinooks also got a great performance from Luke Lowery (Southern Miss) out of the bullpen.

Madison 3, Battle Creek 1

The Bombers held a 1-0 lead through five innings, but the Mallards were able to break through with a run in each of the 6th, 7th, and 8th innings. Luke Staub (George Washington) went 7.2 IP and allowed just one unearned run and five hits.

La Crosse 9, Wisconsin Rapids 5

In a back-and-forth affair, the Loggers took a lead in the ninth and then immediately blew it in the bottom of the frame. Despite doing so, they were able to recover and rally for four runs in the top of the 10th. The biggest hit came from Zack Rivera (Long Beach State) who came into the game late.

Rochester 7, Thunder Bay 3

The Honkers got a big 5th inning to propel them to victory on Tuesday. Alex Greer (Iowa Western) delivered a big chunk of the offense going 3/5 with three RBI out of the cleanup spot.
