Sunday’s Northwoods League slate featured 12 games.  The Badlands Big Sticks outlasted the St. Cloud Rox in an extra-inning thriller, walking it off to seal an 11-10 victory.

Wausau 10, Green Bay 1

The Wausau Woodchucks broke things open with a three-run third and took down the Green Bay Rockers 10-1. Dom Rodriguez (University of Arizona) went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run, tallying four RBIs. Max Galvin (University of Miami (FL)) went 1-for-5 with a solo home run, recording two RBIs and two runs scored. Dylan Schlotterback (Paris JC) was perfect at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a solo home run and a double, scoring four times. Aidan Kuni (University of New Mexico) went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and one RBI. Amar Tsengeg (Northwestern University) earned the win, throwing five innings with three strikeouts, allowing six hits and one run.

Bismarck 4, Minot 2

The Bismarck Larks used a three-run fourth inning to take control and held off the Minot Hot Tots for a 4-2 victory. Cameron Carter (UT Rio Grande Valley) went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Ricardo Aponte (Indiana University (PA)) went 1-for-4 with one RBI. Justin Rumfield (University of Texas-Arlington) went 1-for-4 with two RBIs. Tyson Greenwood (Purdue University Fort Wayne) earned the win, throwing 5.2 innings with three strikeouts, allowing six hits, four walks, and two runs. Landon Waters (University of Mississippi) got the save, throwing a perfect inning, striking out all three batters faced.

Lakeshore 4, Fond du Lac 2

The Lakeshore Chinooks rallied late with a three-run sixth and an insurance run in the ninth to defeat the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 4-2. Brody Rasmussen (University of Maine) went 1-for-4 with a double, tallying two RBIs and one run scored. Grant Gray (UCLA) went 1-for-3 with a double, recording one run scored and three stolen bases. Dominic Monaco (Western Kentucky) earned the win, throwing five innings with five strikeouts, allowing four walks, one hit, and one earned run. Diego Garcia (Pima CC) got the save, throwing four scoreless innings with three strikeouts, allowing two hits and one walk.

Traverse City 5, Battle Creek 4

The Traverse City Pit Spitters rallied from an early deficit to edge out the Battle Creek Battle Jacks 5-4. Aaron Piasecki (Central Michigan University) went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, recording two RBIs and two runs scored. Nathan Ball (Central Michigan University) went 1-for-3 with two RBIs. Trent Reed (Lawrence Technological University) earned the win by throwing two perfect innings, striking out four of six batters faced.

Rochester 8, Thunder Bay 3

The Rochester Honkers struck early and added insurance late to secure an 8-3 victory over the Thunder Bay Border Cats. Payton Knowles (Gonzaga University) went 2-for-4 with a double, tallying three RBIs and a run scored. Tommy Eisenstat (Gonzaga University) went 2-for-3, scoring twice with two RBIs and one stolen base. Angel Cortez (Cal State Northridge) went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Manny Alberto (Western Kentucky University) went 1-for-4 with a double and one RBI. Beau Alazaus (Walsh University) earned the win, throwing six innings with two strikeouts, allowing six hits, three runs, and one walk. Joseph Steventon (Los Angeles Valley CC) got the save, throwing three scoreless innings with one strikeout, allowing two hits and one walk.

Kalamazoo 4, Kenosha 2

The Kalamazoo Growlers used a big fifth inning to jump ahead to defeat the Kenosha Kingfish 4-2. Noah Coy (University of Notre Dame) went 1-for-2 with one RBI and one stolen base. KJ White (Southern University) collects two RBIs and one stolen base. Ethan Hindle (University of Kentucky) went 2-for-2 with a double. Adam Berghorst (Davenport University) earned the win, throwing 8.1 innings with five strikeouts, allowing eight hits, two runs, and two walks. Ben Van Nes (Kalamazoo College) got the save, throwing 0.2 of an inning, allowing two hits and one walk.

Duluth 6, Eau Claire 1

The Duluth Huskies took control early and added insurance late to secure a 6-1 win over the Eau Claire Express. Rowan Kelly (UC Santa Barbara) went 2-for-5 with three RBIs. Tyler Palmer (University of Nebraska Omaha) went 1-for-3, scoring once with one RBI. Ethan Surowiec (Florida) went 1-for-2, scoring once with two stolen bases. Elijah Fairchild (Cal State Northridge) went 1-for-4, scoring once with two stolen bases. Quinton Coats (University of Cincinnati) went 1-for-3 with a double, driving in one run and stealing one base. Owen Marsolek (St. Thomas) earned the win, throwing five innings with eight strikeouts, allowing three hits, one run, and one walk. Carson Turnquist (Cal Poly University) got the save, throwing two scoreless no-hit innings with three strikeouts, allowing two walks.

Madison 15, Wisconsin Rapids 3

The Madison Mallards erupted for six runs in the ninth to dominate the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 15-3. Carson Hansen (University of Kentucky) had a day at the plate going 3-for-4 with a three-run home run and a two-run double, recording seven RBIs and one run scored. Davis Hamilton (University of Minnesota) went 2-for-3 with a two-run double, tallying three RBIs and two runs scored. Daniel Rogers (University of Iowa) went 3-for-4 with a double, scoring four times and driving in one run. Dominic Jacoby (University of Louisville) went 2-for-6 with a double, two runs scored, and one RBI. Junior Barajas (Saddleback CC) went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run. Michael Yeager (University of Virginia) earned the win, throwing five scoreless innings with four strikeouts, allowing seven hits and one walk.

La Crosse 7, Waterloo 6

The La Crosse Loggers held off a late push from the Waterloo Bucks, using a three-run ninth inning to secure a 7-6 victory on the road. Xander McLaurin (Cal Poly University) went 2-for-5 with three RBIs and one stolen base. Mikey Ryan III (North Carolina State) went 1-for-4, scoring once with one RBI and one stolen base. John Pearson (Louisiana State University) went 1-for-3, scoring twice with one RBI. Frankie Santiago (University of Kansas) went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, recording two RBIs. Jack Mount (Wichita State University) got the save, throwing one inning with one strikeout, allowing one hit and one run.

Royal Oak 9, Rockford 5

The Royal Oak Leprechauns held firm late to defeat the Rockford Rivets 9-5. Owen Turner (Yale University) went 1-for-2 with a double, driving in two runs and scoring twice. Jack Dauer (Yale University) went 2-for-2, scoring three times with three stolen bases. Parker McDaniels (University of Cincinnati) went 2-for-4, scoring once with one RBI and two stolen bases. Conner Cunningham (Murray State University) went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Colton Jones (Florida Gulf Coast University) earned the win, throwing one perfect inning with two strikeouts. The Badlands Big Sticks outlasted the St. Cloud Rox in an extra-inning thriller, walking it off to seal an 11-10 victory. Robby Bolin (Kansas State University) came in clutch with the walk-off knock and went 4-for-7 at the plate with a triple and a double, recording one RBI, two runs scored, and two stolen bases. Gavyn Schlotterback (Kansas) went 3-for-6 with a three-run home run and a pair of doubles, tallying three RBIs and two runs scored. Connor Meidroth (University of San Diego) went 1-for-5 with a solo home run, recording two RBIs. Brenden Stressler (University of Michigan) went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, collecting three RBIS and two runs scored. Jackson Cooke (University of Pittsburgh) went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and scored three times. Tyson Leblanc (University of Kansas) went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run.

Willmar 12, Mankato 10

The Willmar Stingers held off a late push from the Mankato MoonDogs to secure a high-scoring 12-10 victory. Sam Hunt (University of Minnesota) went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run and a double, recording three RBIs and two runs scored. Jameson Martin (University of Minnesota) went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and scored three times. Carter Walsh (Northwest Nazarene University) went 3-for-5 with a double, driving in two runs, scoring once, and stealing one base. Joey Craig (New Mexico State University) went 2-for-5 with a double, tallying three RBIs and one run scored. Cannon Peery (Grand Canyon University) went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run and scored twice. Alonso Reyes (UC Irvine) went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run and scored twice. Collin Jennings (University of Illinois) went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and scored three times. Isaac Hanson (University of Jamestown) earned the win, throwing three innings with one strikeout, allowing six hits, three runs, and one walk.
