During her time with the Huskies, Lauren learned to wear different hats. Although she primarily worked in social media, she also helped with camera operations, in-house audio and on-field hosting. Those opportunities strengthened her problem-solving skills and taught her how to adapt when things didn’t go as planned.

Current Position: Marketing Coordinator, St. Paul Saints
During his time as a social media and content creation intern, Gerald gained hands-on experience working game days and diving into multiple facets of the organization. Having the creative freedom to bring new ideas to life gave him a real-world understanding of the sports industry and built relationships he still maintains today.

Wyatt Kopelman
Broadcasting Intern 2022
Current Position: Studio Host and Producer at Learfield
As a broadcasting intern, Wyatt wore multiple hats by handling radio and TV broadcasts, public address announcing, statistical packets, and game-day social media. Working in a fast-paced environment gave him a professional-grade perspective on franchise operations that prepared him for a career in collegiate athletics.

Current Position: Broadcast & Media Relations Assistant, Bowling Green Hot Rods
As one of the five broadcasters during the 2022 season, Cal found the demanding schedule to be rewarding preparation for working in professional baseball. Learning the hard way how to bounce back from long stretches and tough losses taught him the daily mental resilience required to succeed in the sports industry.

Current Position: Voice of the San Antonio Missions | PxP Broadcaster for UTSA Athletics
As a broadcaster during the 2023 season, Jordy sharpened his skills working alongside a talented crew with collegiate and professional experience. The role gave him consistent game-day reps, a true glimpse of an entire baseball season’s grind, and the creative freedom to try new things every night.

Current Position: Director of Operations, Oregon State Women’s Soccer
As a ballpark operations intern, Ella played an impactful role in executing game days and learning what it takes to be a sports professional. Managing high-pressure event operations taught her how to stay calm and lean on colleagues when things felt overwhelming—skills she now relies on daily leading operations for Oregon State’s women’s soccer program.
“I had never been to Minnesota or Wisconsin when I applied and I knew no one in my cohort, but I had an amazing time and was able to come out of my shell… Go for it!”

As a marketing and community relations intern during the 2024 season, Samantha drove social media growth, coordinated community initiatives, wrote game-day scripts, and fulfilled sponsorship assets. Her time in Duluth taught her grit and the importance of teamwork through the long baseball grind—giving her a massive competitive edge and real-world background when landing her current role.
