The Hot Tots may be eliminated from playoff contention, but these two games against the Badlands Big Sticks are far from meaningless. With a .500 record (17-17) in the second half, Minot is chasing their best record ever and are just one win away. On the other side, the Big Sticks are still very much alive in the 2025 playoff race. They need to win or St. Cloud needs to win the division and that would send them to the playoffs. 

      The Tots can play spoiler for Badlands in this series if they pick up two wins depending on the results for the Mankato Moondogs and St. Cloud Rox. If the Hot Tots pick up both wins in this series, they retain the Battle of the Badlands Trophy and win the Petroleum Pennant. They need to win just one game to eclipse their season-win record. The previous record was set last season with twenty-seven wins. Right now, Minot has twenty-seven wins with two games to play.
