The Minot Hot Tots will have a little more representation at the 2026 Northwoods League All-Star thanks to the announcement of this year’s Home Run Challenge participants. Hot Tot third baseman, Tyler Arnold, will be swinging for the Great Plains division on Tuesday, July 7 at the Field of Dreams Movie Site.
Arnold’s selection comes as no surprise. He currently ranks fifth in the Northwoods League in home runs with eight. Lately, Arnold has gone on a power surge. He has slugged five home runs in his last seven games and attracted the league’s attention with a two-homer night against the Mankato MoonDogs on July 1.
At his previous school, Hawaii Pacific, Arnold reset the program’s home run record by hitting 30 in just two seasons.
He, along with Kellan Burke, will wear Hot Tot colors with pride at the All-Star festivities in Dyersville, Iowa. Both the Home Run Challenge on Tuesday and All-Star Game on Wednesday night will be played at a newly constructed ballpark on the Field of Dreams Movie Site.
You can experience these unique nights of Northwoods League baseball in person or by live stream on FloSports. Action on both nights will begin at 7:05 pm CT.
