Michigan Brewers Guild Cancels Spring Beer Festival in Traverse City

(LANSING, Mich) – Out of concern for the general population and following the directives from both the national and state level with regard to social distancing in efforts to limit the spread of Coronavirus COVID-19, the Michigan Brewers Guild has canceled its Spring Beer Festival originally scheduled for Saturday, May 16 in Traverse City. All guests who have already bought tickets to this event will receive a refund in full.

“The health and safety of our guests, brewery staff and the public at large is of the utmost importance to us says Scott Graham, Guild Executive Director. “We look forward to hosting the Spring Beer Festival next year in Traverse City and of course, hope to see our craft beer fans at our other annual festivals between now and then.”

Please consider supporting your local breweries, all of whom are struggling economically during this crisis. Gift card purchases, carry-out orders, and to-go growler fills are all hugely appreciated during this difficult time. And, as always, please be mindful of the directives regarding social distancing, hand washing and avoiding contact with others if you are ill to help minimize the overall effect of the virus.

The MBG 2020 festival schedule includes:

  • Summer Beer Festival – Friday, July 24 & Saturday, July 25 at Riverside Park in Ypsilanti
General admission tickets go on sale on Thursday, April 30 at 10am

  • P. Fall Beer Festival – Saturday, September 12 at Mattson Lower Harbor Park in Marquette
General admission tickets go on sale on Thursday, June 25 at 10am

  • Detroit Fall Beer Festival – Saturday, October 24 at Eastern Market in Detroit
General admission tickets go on sale on Thursday, August 6 at 10am
