Willmar came back from a four-run deficit in the fourth inning, but ultimately the Singers could not overcome four defensive errors that allowed St. Cloud to score four unearned runs, dropping the game to the River Bats, 8-6.

Four Stingers had multi-hit games, led by Mitch Rowan (Willamette) whose 3-for-5 day raised his batting average to .317. Jason Leblebijian (Bradley) and Eduardo Gonzalez (Alcorn State) each went 2-for-4, while Anthony Bemboom (Creighton) was 2-for-5. Leblebijian added a run scored and two RBIs. Gonzalez had an RBI, and Bemboom scored a run.

The big inning for the Stingers came in the fourth when they scored four runs on five hits to tie game, 6-6. Pat Stover (Santa Clara) led off the frame with a single, and Blake Shepherd (Viterbo) reached on a walk. Mitch Delfino (California) laid down a bunt and reached on a throwing error by the pitcher Austen Wisroth. With two outs in the inning, Leblebijian hit a two-run single. Rowan and Gonzalez each followed with RBI singles to knot the game, but a solo home run by Kyle Stinger of the River Bats broke the 6-6 tie in the seventh inning and the Stingers could not come back again.
