DULUTH, Minn. – Pat Stover’s (Santa Clara) RBI double gave the Willmar a 1-0 lead in the first inning, and the Stingers never looked back en route to a 6-1 victory over the Duluth Huskies Thursday night at Wade Stadium in Duluth, Minn.

Stover finished the game 3-for-5 with three RBI doubles. Eduardo Gonzalez (Alcorn State) went 2-for-5 with two RBI doubles of his own. Jason Leblebijian (Bradley) added an RBI and a run, while Ben Burns earned the victory after allowing only one run in six innings while striking out two.

Following Stover’s RBI in the first, Leblebijian added to the lead with an RBI single to score Ryan Dettman (Oregon State). Gonzalez and Stover then hit back-to-back RBI doubles in both the fifth and ninth innings to extend the lead and seal the victory.
