Benson station KSCR 93.5FM will broadcast all 70 games

WILLMAR, MN- The Willmar Stingers of the Northwoods League and KSCR 93.5FM of Benson, MN have signed a partnership to broadcast all 70 Willmar Stingers games during the 2011 season.  The 25,000 watt station covers much of West Central Minnesota including a 45-mile radius around the city of Willmar.  The radio group of KSCR 93.5FM, along with KBMO 1290AM of Benson, are also carriers of the Minnesota Vikings, Minnesota Gophers Football and the Minnesota Twins.

“We are very excited to have Stingers Baseball on the air,” said Stingers co-owner Marc Jerzak.  “Baseball is a game tailor made for radio, and now Stingers fans will be able to tune into 93.5FM and listen to every Stingers home and road game this season.”

The Stingers and the Northwoods League will continue to stream the audio and video of each game via the Stingers website, WillmarStingers.com.  All 16 ballparks in the Northwoods League will again be equipped with a four camera shoot to broadcast live video and audio of each game during the season.

The Stingers are members of the largest summer collegiate league in the country.
