WILLMAR, Minn. – Thursday’s Northwoods League game between the Willmar Stingers and the Duluth Huskies has been postponed due to unplayable field conditions. Heavy rain fell in the Willmar area throughout Wednesday night and more than an inch of water sat on the infield and outfield throughout the afternoon.

The game will be rescheduled as part of a doubleheader in Duluth Wed., July 20, beginning at 5:05 p.m. Fans with Westside Liquor Diamond View tickets, box seat tickets, reserved tickets or general seating tickets for Thursday night’s game can exchange them for an equivalent ticket to any future Willmar Stingers home game based on availability.

The Stingers’ next home game will be Fri., July 22, against the Alexandria Beetles. It will be Diamond Dig Night presented by Elmquist Jewelers. The first 125 women will receive a scoop and 250 women will compete to find a $1,000 diamond hidden in the infield dirt after the game.

The 2011 season is presented by Charter.  If you have any questions regarding this press release please visit www.willmarstingers.com or call 320-222-2010.
