WILLMAR, MN- The Willmar Stingers of the Northwoods League have announced today that “Wally the Beer Man” will make two appearances at the ballpark this summer.
 
Wally McNeil has been a staple in the state of Minnesota for vending beer at various arenas and stadiums. “Wally the Beer Man” will appear on Friday, June 3rd and Thursday, July 7th during the second season of Northwoods League Baseball in Willmar, MN.
 
On Friday, June 3rd, the 1st 300 fans will also receive a Stingers baseball cap courtesy of Heritage Bank. On Thursday, July 7th Wally will appear as a part of Minnesota Twins Night. Along with Wally, a former Minnesota Twins player will be on hand to throw out the first pitch and sign autographs.
Wally and his wife currently reside in the Twin Cities and are co-owners of two horses: Wally’s Choice and Mrs. Beer Man.
 
The 2011 Home Opener presented by Christianson & Associates and Lakeland Broadcasting is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1 against the Thunder Bay Border Cats at Bill Taunton Stadium.   The Stingers are members of the largest summer collegiate league in the country.
