The Willmar Stingers and J.D. Kreps Financial Group have joined efforts to recognize local veterans in the community this summer.  During a Stingers home game on Tuesday, June 14th, nine local veterans will be honored at Bill Taunton Stadium and each of them will also receive their very own baseball card.  

Nine veterans in the community have recently been selected and each person will be recognized on the field as a part of a Flag Day celebration. As fans enter this stadium this night, the 1st 250 fans will also receive a complete set of baseball cards of these local heroes courtesy of J.D. Kreps Financial Group. 

The veterans who have been chosen as part of this celebration are:

• Kathy Braun (Willmar, MN)
• Roger Power (Willmar, MN)
• Ron Andreen (Willmar, MN)
• Ersie Quimby (Willmar, MN)
• Stephen Gardner (Grand Meadow, MN)
• Frank Wilkins (Willmar, MN)
• Jeffery Enstad (Granite Falls, MN)
• Jim Saulsbury (New London, MN)
• Jack Seeman (Willmar, MN)

The card set will represent each branch of the military and honor those who are currently serving our country, veterans who have served in the past but are no longer active, and those who bravely fought for our country, but have since passed away.

Each veteran selected will also receive complimentary tickets and concessions vouchers courtesy of J.D. Kreps Financial Group and the night will conclude with a patriotic post-game fireworks display.
