WILLMAR, Minn. — Quincy McAfee might be one of the youngest players on the Stingers, but that hasn't stopped him from being one of the biggest contributors offensively.

McAfee (Pepperdine) had a season-best night at the dish on Friday night, tallying three hits and driving in four runs in a 7-3 win over the Duluth Huskies at Bill Taunton Stadium to earn a series sweep.

The Huskies took a first-inning lead over the Stingers (35-29, 17-11 second half), but Willmar then scored runs in seven consecutive innings, coasting to a win down the stretch in yet another strong performance from Brad Schaezner (Kentucky).

McAfee's first RBI of the night might have been his biggest one as he singled with two outs in the bottom of the second to drive Luke Becker (Kentucky) from second to tie the game at one.

Greg Lambert (Southern Illinois) tripled with one out in the third and scored a batter later on Danny Mayer's RBI single to give the Stingers the lead.

Duluth (26-38, 9-20) would tie the score in the top of the fourth, but the Stingers offense kept churning when it came to the plate in the bottom of the inning to take the lead for good. Small ball provided the lead, as Kole Cottam (Kentucky) and Brandon Perez (USC) singled to start the frame. A fielder's choice grounder by McAfee put runners at the corners with just one gone, and the Stingers used that to execute some trickery on the bases. McAfee purposely got caught in a run down, and that bought Cottam time to score from third.

With the renewed lead, Schaenzer had no issues the rest of the way, as he didn't allow a hit in his final two innings. The southpaw allowed just one earned run on only four hits with five strikeouts. It marked the third-straight start for Schaenzer that he'd allowed one earned run or less. He's allowed just two earned runs in his last 21 innings of work spanning those three strarts.

Willmar added to its lead with a two-run double by McAfee in the fifth, a solo homer by Danny Pardo (Montevallo) in the sixth and an RBI single by McAfee in the seventh.
