WILLMAR, Minn. – The Stingers dropped game two to the Express, giving up two home runs in their 6-4 loss. They move to 9-7 on the season and remain split, now 2-2, with Eau Claire.
The Stingers continued their first-inning success at the plate by scoring two runs to begin the game. Danny Rodriguez (Bethune-Cookman) and Nolan Bumstead (CS-Northridge) both had RBI doubles in that inning. Now they have scored in the first inning 13 of 16 games this season.
In the second inning, the Stingers had four singles and brought in one run. Tyler Reichenborn (Iowa Western) drove in that run with a single down the right field line.

Reichenborn finished the day 2-for-3 with a seventh-inning walk. After walking, he scored on Caleb Ledbetter's (Montevallo) single to tie the game at four.
In the eighth inning, the Express put two runs across to take the late lead. The Stingers weren't able to tie it up after that point, and lost the game with the final score of 6-4.
Luke Chevalier (Northern State) made his third start as a Stinger. He pitched four innings and gave up four runs in the no decision.
The Stingers have an off day tomorrow before continuing the homestand when they host the Bismarck Larks for two games to finish the week. Game two against the Larks will be played in Alexandria.
