WILLMAR, Minn. – The Stingers fell in game one of the series to the Loggers, 17-1.

La Crosse took an early lead by scoring eight runs in the second inning, taking a lead that Stingers would never come back from.

At the plate, the Luke Becker (Kentucky) walked in the second inning and was brought around by Danny Rodriguez (Bethune-Cookman) and Caleb Ledbetter (Montevallo). 

Ledbetter increased his total to 14 RBI on the season.

Rodriguez went 2-for-2 at the plate in the game, collecting singles in both the second and the fourth innings.

Rodriguez improved his season average to .267 on the season.

Tomorrow night will be game two of the series. The Stingers are 2-1 against the Loggers in 2017. It will be the Case IH 175th Anniversary celebration, and the first 300 fans receive can koozies presented by Case IH. It will also be a "Kids Run the Bases Friday", in which all youth will have an opportunity to run the bases after the game courtesy of ACMC Sports Medicine.
