BISMARCK, North Dakota – The Stingers completed the first half with an extra-inning 5-4 victory in Bismarck Tuesday afternoon.

Marcus Still (New Mexico State) led off the game with a single up the middle. Shortly after, he stole second base for his twenty fifth of the year.

Josh Bissonette (Baylor) then sacrificed Still over to third. Moments later, he was brought in by Nolan Bumstead (CS-Northridge) who hit an RBI ground ball to the shortstop.

Still then came up in the third inning for the second time. With one out, he hit a home run over the left-center field wall to tie the game at two.

One more run came in the fourth inning when Tyler Murray (Hawaii) drew and RBI walk.

Five innings later, when the Stingers trailed by a run in the ninth, the Larks were only two outs away from a victory.

Bissonette delivered with an opposite field base hit to tie it up at four.

The run forced the second extra inning game of the year for Willmar. After a scoreless tenth for both teams, Murray led off the top of the eleventh by getting hit by a pitch.

Myles Smith (Georgia Gwinnett) then came in to pinch run. An error then moved Smith over. Luke Becker (Kentucky) came up shortly after and drove in the game-winning run with a single. The Stingers took a 5-4 lead they would not concede in the bottom half.
