WILLMAR, Minn. – The Stingers completed the series sweep of the Waterloo Bucks Friday night, winning 11-4 and moving to four games above .500 on the year.

In the second inning, 2017 All-Star and Home Run Derby participant Nolan Bumstead (CS-Northridge) launched a home run over the left field wall to give the Stingers an early 1-0 lead.

The next inning, it was Josh Bissonette (Baylor) who sent another Stinger Dinger over the left field wall for a three-run home run, opening up the four-run lead that the Stingers would never concede.

With Bissonette's fourth home run of the year, he extended his on-base streak to 20 straight games and now has a batting average of .340.

The Stingers scored in six of their eight innings at the plate, adding a pair of runs in the fifth, seventh, and eighth innings.

On the mound, they were led by Nick Lackney (Minnesota) who recorded his third straight win. He finished the day having given up two earned runs and only three hits in five innings pitched.

Through four innings, Lackney had only thrown 48 pitches and faced one over the minimum. By the end of the day, he had thrown 54 of his 81 pitches for strikes.

He moves to 3-1 on the season.
