The Willmar Stingers and J.D. Kreps Financial Group have joined efforts once again to recognize local veterans in the community this summer. During the Stingers home game on Tuesday, July 10th, nine local veterans will be honored at Bill Taunton Stadium as part of a Military Appreciation game. On this night, the nine recognized veterans will also receive their very own baseball card.

The 1st 250 fans through the gates will receive a complete set of baseball cards of these nine local heroes courtesy of J.D. Kreps Financial Group.

The card set will represent each branch of the military and honor those who are currently serving our country, veterans who have served in the past but are no longer active, and those who bravely fought for our country, but have since passed away.

The Stingers and J.D. Kreps Financial Group are currently seeking nominations of local veterans for this unique recognition event this summer.

To nominate a veteran, all you need to do is complete the nomination form below. The nomination form gives you the opportunity to highlight your nominee and showcase their service in the armed forces.

Each veteran selected will also receive complimentary tickets and concessions vouchers courtesy of J.D. Kreps Financial Group and the night will conclude with a patriotic post-game fireworks display.

Nominations will be taken until June 10th with an official announcement being made in soon after the nomination deadline.

Nomination forms can be accessed by visiting willmarstingers.com, or by visiting the Stingers office during normal business hours. Nominations can be dropped off directly to the Stingers office at the ballpark or by mailing the nomination to PO Box 201, Willmar, MN 56201.
