La Crosse, Wis.- In the first of two games against the La Crosse Loggers the Willmar Stingers took care of business in game one, winning 3-0.
For the Stingers Braden Scott (Olney Central) was stellar, going 5.2 innings, striking out nine Loggers and allowing just three base hits. Scott after his performance now improves his season ERA to an impressive 2.65.
Offensively Willmar didn’t drop any jaws but in the fourth inning, Calvin Estrada (Long Beach St) took a pitch deep to left field clearing the fence by plenty.
