Willmar, Minn.- In a close affair, the Willmar Stingers hung on Saturday night to defeat the Duluth Huskies 5-4.

The game for Willmar against the Huskies in many ways showed how explosive their offense can be. Willmar powered two balls over the fence in their victory. In the second inning  John Trousdale (Alabama) launched his first home run of the year and later it was Nic Hernandez (Cal Poly Pomona) hitting a two run shot for the Stingers giving them a 5-1 advantage.

Duluth would fight back scoring three runs in the seventh inning, but Jake Drew (NDSU) would come on, and as he has done all season shut the door on the Huskies in the ninth.

Willmar goes to 15-10 on the season, now behind the first place Huskies by just three games.

The two teams will square off tomorrow night in Willmar one more time.
