Waterloo, Iowa.- To start the second half, the Willmar Stingers traveled to Waterloo, Iowa to take on the Bucks in a two game series.

Game one did not go as planned for the Stingers, falling to the Bucks 10-6. Willmar fell behind early, surrendering eight runs in the first two innings. In the fifth trailing 9-0, Willmar made some noise. It started with a Jayson Newman (Cal-State Northridge) solo shot over the right-center field wall making it 9-1. Joey Ortiz (New Mexico State) followed that with an RBI double and then Tyler Reichenborn (St. Louis) got an RBI on a groundout.

In the ninth inning trailing 10-4, the Stingers put up two more runs. Matt Rudick (San Diego State) singled in Joey Ortiz and Eli Wilson (Minnesota) hit a sacrifice fly scoring Reichenborn

Willmar will have another shot at the Bucks tomorrow night at 6:35.
