Bismarck, N.D.- On Monday night the Willmar Stingers took on the Bismarck Larks, defeating Bismarck for a second consecutive night by a final score of 2-1.

In a low scoring affair like this you need a good pitching performance and Willmar got more then that. Jonathan McKinney (Georgia Gwinnett) was outstanding going seven one run innings, allowing just three hits and striking out 12. (The twelve strikeouts is tied for second most in Stinger single game history).

Willmar backed McKinney with two runs. Both runs came in the second inning from RBIs from Matt Rudick (San Diego St) and Eli Wilson (Minnesota).

Late in the ball game Bismarck had an opportunity, with the tying run 90 feet away in the ninth but Nick Mears (Sacramento City) shut the door recording a six out save.

Willmar returns home now, after defeating Bismarck in both games on the road.
