Willmar, Minn.- The Willmar Stingers picked up their sixth consecutive victory on Thursday night defeating the Waterloo Bucks by a final score of 4-3.

Willmar had to come from behind, in the first inning Nick Dentoni (Delta College) gave up two runs, one was earned.

In the fourth Willmar’s bats came alive. Nic Hernandez (Cal Poly Pomona) got the Stingers on the scoreboard with a shot to right field making it 2-1.

In the fifth inning the Stingers tied the game up at two runs when Tyler Reichenborn (St.Louis) drove in a run on a groundout to second.

In the sixth inning Willmar took the lead. Shea Kramer (Utah) singled into left field scoring John Trousdale (Alabama) and giving Willmar a 3-2 lead.

Willmar got insurance in the eighth inning. Hernandez once again came through with an RBI knock. Hernandez singled and drove in Davis Elliot (North Alabama) making it 4-2.

In the ninth Nick Mears (Sac City) came in for the save. Mears got into trouble and gave up a run but ultimately closed the door and got the save.
