Willmar, Minn.- On Friday night, the Willmar Stingers got their seventh consecutive victory, in a high scoring affair against the Waterloo Bucks.

Willmar got off to a good start off the bat with a solid pitching performance from Sam Gardner (Alabama). Gardner, in his first start of the season, pitched 4.1 innings, struck out two, allowed just two runs and two hits.

Offensively, the Stingers compiled 16 hits. Sebastian Samuels (Montevallo) had two of them and drove in four of the Stingers’ 10 runs.

Davis Elliot (North Alabama) had a very solid night as well. Elliot went 2-5 including a booming homer over the left field wall in the eighth inning giving Willmar its tenth and final run of the ballgame.

Once again, the final score was Willmar 10, Waterloo 6.

Willmar will take on St. Cloud tomorrow night in St. Cloud beginning a two game series.
