St. Cloud, Minn.- On Saturday night the Willmar Stingers were defeated by the St. Cloud Rox 6-4.

Jaxon Hallmark (Nebraska) was on his game, going 3-4 on the night with a double and two singles. In this game Hallmark improved his average by 16 points.

Eli Wilson (Minnesota) had two doubles tonight and continued to swing a solid bat for Willmar. His two doubles were in back to back at-bats and he scored a run. Wilson, with his big night, earned CDI Stingers’ player of the night.

Corey Binger (MSU Mankato) started for Willmar and delivered a solid performance, going five innings and allowing four runs. Binger has now gone three consecutive starts without suffering a loss.

Cal Elvers (Miami-Ohio) had three RBIs, all on one swing of the bat in the sixth inning. The bases were loaded and Elvers lined a double into the right-center field gap, clearing the bases which tied up the score at four.

The Stingers will take on the the Rox once again tomorrow in St. Cloud at 4:05 p.m.
