Willmar, Minn. – The Stingers drop Tuesday night’s game against La Crosse by a final count of 8-1.

The Loggers got off to a hot start, scoring four runs in the opening frame. The inning was capped off by a three-run home run by Kyle Casper. They added to their lead in the third, on back-to-back RBI doubles by Ryland Zaborowski and Aidan Sweatt.

The Stingers finally got on the board in the bottom of the fifth on an RBI single by Daniel Walsh, which scored Brady Counsell. That was the only run they scored in the game.

Corey Jackson had a great start for La Crosse, tossing seven innings of one run ball. He gave up two hits and four walks, and struck out eight.

Cruz Barrios made his Willmar debut tonight out of the bullpen, going four innings. He gave up three hits, two runs (one earned), walked one and struck out one.

The Stingers, now at 8-8, are off Wednesday. Their next game will be in La Crosse on Thursday, June 17. First pitch will be at 6:35 p.m.
