Eau Claire, Wis. – The Stingers lose their third game in a row Sunday night in Eau Claire, 4-1.

The Stingers only mustered four hits in the game, and their only run scored on an RBI groundout by Daniel Walsh in the fifth.

Ryan Watson got the start for the Stingers in Monday’s ballgame, going six innings and allowing three earned runs, nine bits, one walk and struck out eight.

Watson gave up two first inning runs, then settled down as the game progressed, only allowing one more run the remainder of his start.

The Express got some insurance in the bottom of the eighth, scoring their fourth run of the game on a passed ball charged to Kaden Hopson.

Game 2 of the series against Eau Claire is Monday, July 5. The Stingers, now at 15-20, are aiming for a series split. First pitch from Carson Park is at 6:35 p.m.
