Willmar, Minn. – St. Cloud bounces back to defeat the Stingers Friday night by a final of 8-1.

The Stingers scored first, when Grant Kerry singled to left field in the bottom of the first. That was all the Willmar offense was able to muster in the game.

St. Cloud tied the ballgame up in the second on a hit by Jack Steil. It remained tied until the sixth, when the Rox scored four on an RBI single, two-run double and RBI groundout. They added one in the seventh on a ground ball double play and two more in the eighth on a double and single.

Hunter Dollander pitched well for St. Cloud. He went six innnings, allowed eight hits, one earned run, one walk and six strikeouts.

The Stingers have two more games on the homestand, on Saturday and Sunday, both against the Mankato MoonDogs. Saturday’s first pitch is 7:05 p.m.
