WILLMAR, MN- The Willmar Stingers (6-2) take on the Mankato Moondogs (5-5) for a home- -and-home series tonight and tomorrow.

For Mankato, which is batting .223 as a team. The player to watch is Dustin Crenshaw who has a .500 batting average collecting three hits and has driven in one run this season. Crenshaw starred at Grand Canyon University where his team made an appearance in the NCAA Division I regionals this past spring.

The player to watch on the Moondog pitching staff is Jack Anker who played at Fresno State University during the 2022-23 collegiate season. Anker posted a 5.36 ERA, allowing 26 runs, 50 hits and allowed 16 free passes in 41.0 innings pitched. The Mankato pitching staff has a combined ERA of 4.40.

For Willmar, which is batting .292 as a team. The player to watch is Kevin Fitzer who was last night’s MinnWest Technology Campus player of the game. Fitzer is batting .357 and has ten hits, ten RBI, and two home runs. 

On the hill, you will see Ray Cebulski pitching for the Stingers. Cebulski has seven strikeouts in five innings of work this season. The Point Loma Nazarene product posted a 4.75  ERA including 44 strikeouts, and allowed 46 hits and 19 free passes in 55.0 innings of work. As a team, the Stingers have a combined ERA of 5.13.

Willmar will be playing four games in four days after taking on the Rox of Saint Cloud at Bill Taunton Stadium on Wednesday and Thursday.

First Pitch will be at 7:05 at Bill Taunton Stadium.
