DULUTH–In their first game since the All Star Break, the Willmar Stingers, dropped a 4-2 affair at Wade Stadium to the Duluth Hiskies on Thursday night. In the first game of a five game road swing, the Stingers got just four innings out of their starter David Carroll and dropped to 23-23 overall in 2010, and 5-6 in the second half.

It was another late start for the Stingers offense, as it took until the top of the eighth before Willmar could push anything across the plate. Jordan Smith ended up with the game’s only Willmar RBI, and eventually came around to score on the play, after a throwing error followed his triple.

Next up for the Stingers, it’s another 7:05 pm matchup with the Huskies on Friday at Wade Stadium.
