The Matchup: The Willmar Stingers (35-13) will take on the St. Cloud Rox (30-18) for a two game series on the road at Joe Faber Field on the grounds of the Municipal Athletic Complex.

Players To Watch: Sean Rimmer (University of Hawaii) will be the player to watch for Willmar. Rimmer was named the MinnWest Campus Technology Player Of The Night after a 1-for-4 performance which knocked in three RBI. This season, Rimmer has a .252 batting average.

For St. Cloud, the player in the spotlight will be Davis Cop (University of Iowa). Cop posts a .367 batting average and has collected five RBI through 30 AB’s. Cop is a Division 1 transfer from the University of Utah. The spring, will be his first season playing for the Big Ten power in the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Tonight’s Pitchers: Chris Rofe (Mount Marty University) will get the nod for Willmar. Rofe (3-0) posts a 2.45 ERA and has set down 33 batters in eleven appearances thus far.

Tommy Gross (Creighton University) will be on the hill for the Rox. The Excelsior native posts a 0.39 ERA and a perfect 5-0 record next to his name. Gross has 26 strikeouts after facing 12 batters through 23.1 innings of work this season.

Last Meeting: Willmar split the last series with St. Cloud at Bill Taunton Stadium by scores of 11-1 and 8-6. Andrew Baumgart was given the win in the game two victory which saw most of the offense occur in the fourth inning.

A Look At STC: The Rox have power all over the lineup. Players to watch in the St. Cloud lineup includes John Nett (Kansas), Jackson Hauge (Minnesota- State Mankato) and Matt Goetzmann (Nebraska-Omaha). Last time the Rox took the field they were shut out by the Minot Hot Tots by a score of 7-0.

First Pitch: Both games will take place at Joe Faber Field in St. Cloud. Game one will be at 6:35 and game two will be at 7:05.
