Willmar, MN- The 2022 roster is continuing to take shape as two more pitchers were added to the team this week. The pitchers are a duo from Augustana University that include Seth Miller and Ryan Jares.

Seth Miller is a right-handed pitcher from Blaine, Minnesota. In 2020, Miller made three starts on the mound for the Vikings. He went 1-0 in 15.2 innings of work striking out 16 batters. Held opponent’s batting average to .154 while Miller was on the mound. In 2021, Miller did not make an appereance while recovering from an injury in 2021. Miller has pitched in 27.1 innings for the Vikings and has posted a 1.98 ERA currently for the 2022 season.

Ryan Jares is joining his teammate Miller to Willmar for the 2022 summer. Jares is a right-handed pitcher from Windsor, Colorado. He apperared in 14 games and made 11 starts on the mound for the Vikings in 2021. Ryan had a 2.25 ERA, 6-2 record, one complete-game shutout and struck out 96 batters in 68 innings pitched. Jares is currently 4-2 and has struck out 61 batters in 46.1 innings pitched for the Vikings in the 2022 season.

The Stingers open their season on May 30th in Rochester against the Honkers. The home opener is Wednesday, June 1st against the Eau Claire Express.
