The Kalamazoo Growlers are looking for positive, enthusiastic teammates for our 2016 season! Our summer game day positions are exciting roles that interact and engage with our fans on a game basis. The Kalamazoo Growlers pride themselves on our commitment to customer service and our game day staff plays an important role in carrying out that mission.

Each position listed is a role needed during each of the Growlers 36 home games. Game day staff begin working two hours before each game and can finish nearly a hour after the game.

Game-Day Staff: (part-time) 

The Kalamazoo Growlers are looking for qualified, customer service oriented, and outgoing individuals to work concessions during our 2016 baseball season. All Growler employees must be available Wednesday June 1st, Friday June 3rd, Tuesday June 7th, Saturday June 11th, Saturday June 18th, Friday June 24th, Saturday July 2nd, Monday July 4th, Saturday July 16th, Friday July 29th, Saturday August 6th, and Saturday August 13th. We will be holding open interviews in April of 2016 and all interested candidates are invited to apply. Each summer the Growlers employ over 50 part-time staff for various roles around the ballpark. Below is a list of concession positions along with a short description of the duties and responsibilities pertinent to each role. If interested, please fill out the application provided below and come to open interviews on Saturday, April 9th (Noon – 3pm). Interviews are open to the public and no reservations are necessary. They will be held at the ballpark (251 Mills St.) and signage will direct you where to go upon arrival. ​


The Growlers are currently accepting applications for the following game day positions during the 2016 season:

Concessions – Employees hold various roles throughout the ballpark in food and beverage areas. Employees must provide excellent customer service, display an understanding of food and beverage options within a designated area, and follow closely the health and sanitation guidelines set forth by the Growlers. Responsibilities vary by area and position as follows:

Grillers – Responsible for ensuring Growlers fans receive the freshest food possible in a timely manner.  Grillers will follow specific food preparation and sanitation guidelines designed to create a consistently quality product. Interested candidates should have experience in a kitchen environment, and be able to work in a fast paced, hot environment.

Runners – Runners serve as liaisons between the Grillers and Cashiers to fill the customer’s order. They’re focus is on efficiently receiving the customer’s order from the cashier and working with the grillers to produce the products that they need to complete the order. Runners are accessible to customers and should be helpful and responsive to their wants, needs, and concerns. Interested candidates should have a positive attitude and work well in group settings. Lastly runners will have a role assisting the concessions managers and grillers to include washing dishes, post game concessions cleanup, and food wrapping.

Cashiers – Cashiers are the face of the Growlers food and beverage experience. They are expected to greet and accommodate customers with a positive attitude and a smile.  Cashiers are responsible for managing cash and credit transactions at each of our concessions areas while processing accurate and timely concessions orders. Interested candidates should have a positive attitude, outgoing personality and work well in group settings.


These are hourly paid positions. Potential incentive structure available based on number of games worked.
