“One child, one teacher, one book, one pen can change the world.” – Malala Yousafzai

Every single person can look back on their life and identify at least one teacher that made a SUBSTANTIAL impact on their life. They are the ones leading future generations, teaching vital life lessons, and setting up our children for success. Yet few people actually stop, turn around, and truly appreciate these superstars in the community.

Honor Credit Union and the Kalamazoo Growlers are changing that – RIGHT NOW. Through the 2022 summer season, we’re asking fans to nominate teachers for Honor Credit Union’s “Teacher of the Year.”

One winning teacher will receive the ULTIMATE Growlers experience complete with tickets to a game, on-field recognition, the opportunity to share their story and the impact they are making every day in a mini-movie, a $100 gift card from Honor Credit Union, and more!

In the form below this paragraph, tell Honor and the Growlers about a current teacher that has stood out and made a difference in your life or the lives of your children, especially during such a difficult time in virtual education. The winner will be chosen and announced this August.

At Honor, we’re committed to giving back to our communities any chance we get, which is why we’re especially proud to partner with the Growlers to recognize our hard-working teachers,” commented Mason McFarland, Honor’s Member Center Manager in downtown Kalamazoo. “We know how hard teachers work day in and day out to educate our future leaders, and the last year has been especially challenging as they’ve adjusted to only seeing their students smile behind masks or even behind a screen during virtual learning. Teachers, we can’t wait to recognize YOU for everything you do every day!”

On behalf of all of us at the growlers, thank you to all of our teachers making a difference out there, and thank you to Honor Credit Union for providing this opportunity to support our community!
