The State of Minnesota focus is on bonding and job creation this session, and the City of Duluth is making Wade Stadium a priority for the 2014 Legislative session.
The City is seeking to match 5.7 million dollars for the renovations, which would include more efficient ticketing areas and gates, a revamped concession area, a larger press box, and repairs to the exterior walls of the structure as well as new lighting, scoreboard, and playing surface. The stadium is currently occupied by the Duluth Huskies and is also used by the College of St Scholastica and baseball organizations around the region.
Ther State of Minnesota has launched a new website called Build.mn that features projects throughout the State. Wade Stadium is featured here; http://build.mn/project/northeast/wade-stadium/
