Huskies win it in the 12th

(Duluth, MN) — Dom Brugnoni played the part of late-game hero on Thursday night in St. Cloud, as his 12th inning RBI single gave the Huskies a 5-4 lead that Steve Villines and the defense held on to.

Brugnoni's big hit was one of the four he had on the night, along with two RBI. Dom Miroglio also had four hits with one run scored. Keach Ballard gave the Huskies the lead in the 3rd with a two run home run, his third of the season. His shot was part of a four-run outburst in the 3rd. Eric Peterson had one hit and one RBI.

The bullpen trio of Josh McLaney, Devon Torres and Steve Villines shut down the Rox offense over the final 6 2/3 innings, combining to give up only five hits with six strikeouts. Villines threw 3 of those innings to earn the win.

The Huskies and Rox will face off again tonight at 7:05pm.
