The Duluth Huskies are proud to announce that five players have made the Mid-Season All Star Team. Dominic Miroglio, Bo Hellquist, Austin Carpenter, Cal Stevenson and Matt McLaughlin were all selected. The Huskies finished the first half with a record of 20-16.
Dominic Miroglio, a catcher, from San Francisco led the Huskies in batting for most of the first half of the season. He finished the first half with a .327 batting average and 13 RBI. Miroglio is a mainstay in the lineup whether he’s catching, designated hitting or putting time in at first base. This is Dominic’s second season with the Huskies.
Bo Hellquist, left-handed pitcher, from University of Minnesota Duluth made 6 starts for the Huskies during the first half, including getting his second straight nod on opening day for Duluth. He finished with a 3-1 record, 24 strikeouts and 3.19 ERA.
Austin Carpenter, right-handed pitcher, from North Alabama took on the closing role for the Huskies this summer. Carpenter has 7 saves on the season, 6 of them coming in the first half. He had a 0.71 ERA in 12.2 innings of work.
Cal Stevenson, outfielder, from Nevada plays center field for Duluth. The left-handed batter has found his way in the leadoff spot. Stevenson batted .278 with a .407 OBS. He now has a batting average of .305 and has 10 stolen bases.
Matt McLaughlin, infielder, from Kansas split his time in the field between shortstop, third base and second base. Matt finished offensively with a .331 average.
