The Duluth Huskies (4-2) lose 2nd in a row to Mankato MoonDogs (5-0) on Sunday.

The MoonDogs got to work quickly with Marcus Pingleton scoring in the 1st inning on a single from Ridge Smith. By the top of the 2nd the MoonDogs completely took control scoring 3 on a double from Jake Shepski, who got stuck in a pickle and was putout for out number 3. What had started as a beautiful day, quickly turned into unpredictable weather causing a weather delay during the bottom of the 5th inning. Once the game was started again, the MoonDogs furthered their lead with 2 more runs. The solo run from the Huskies came from a triple by Grant Farley, who later scored on a sacrifice fly by Logan Browning.

Mitch Bauer received the loss pitching 5 innings with 8 hits, 4 runs, 1 walk, and 4 strikeouts. Reid Long made an appearance for 1 inning while Kevin Stocke finished the game with pitching 3 innings with 2 hits, 0 runs, 2 walks, and 3 strikeouts. Nate Jones received the win for the MoonDogs pitching 5 innings with 3 hits, 0 runs, 0 walks, and 9 strikeouts.
