The Duluth Huskies(6-6) beat the Willmar Stingers (5-7) in the 12th inning tonight with a walk-off hit.

The Huskies had another solid start to the game scoring one run in each of the first three innings, the runs coming from Daniel Gardner, David Kyriacou, and Matt Brown. The score stayed 3-0 until the 8th inning where the Stingers fought back scoring four runs. Those runs came from Ty Tice, Billy Quirke, Danny Pardo, and Justin Toerner. In the bottom of the 8th inning Austin Bernard was able to score to tie the game up at 4-4. The game was forced into extra innings leading to the bottom of the 12th inning as Gardner was able to drive Nic Strasser in for the winning run. 

Toby Anderson was the Huskies starting pitcher for the night. He gave up three hits, struck out two and no runs allowed in his seven innings. Trevino Rodriguez took over in the 8th. Rodriguez had five hits and four runs against him. He was replaced by Drew Mullinax who finished the 8th and pitched the next two innings as well. He allowed three hits but no runs. In the 11th inning Alex Ferguson was brought in giving up only one hit but no runs, striking out two in the last two innings. Ferguson gets credit for the win in tonights game. For the Stingers, Tyler Hanson made the start. Hanson pitched four innings giving up eight hits and three runs. Bradley Bailey took over in the 5th inning, pitching three innings giving up three hits and striking four out. In the 8th inning Jake Rothwell entered the game. Rothwell was able to strike eight Huskies out but he also gave up eight hits and two runs, including the winning run. 

The Huskies are away in St. Cloud Sunday but they return home Monday the 13th at 6:35 against St. Cloud.
